The approach at Hayter is to deliver Lean Awareness for every employee. How business simulations are used to communicate all the Advantages of “pull” & single piece flow over traditional manufacturing methods. How Lean foundations are used to achieve “flexible manufacturing” reacting as close as possible to point of sale trends. These building blocks include: Culture change & the need for change, rapid change-over’s, mixed model builds, KanBan’s, Line- side supply and total vendor managed stock, 7 wastes, 5s and the visual workplace. Hayter will demonstrate how “Lean” is a journey, and do not profess to be at the end of that journey yet but believe they are going forward and trying to stay focused upon the customer. |
